No waste. No water. Nowa Drops’ founder Tommie Löghdal came to us with an awesome idea: to turn your everyday handwash into a solid concentrate. Why transport water back and forth when it’s readily available in people’s homes?
After over a year of tweaking and fine-tuning, we developed a 100% natural soap concentrate, packed in a water-soluble pouch, that can refill the container you keep at home. You get the liquid soap you’re used to, just without all that plastic.
Our partners at Kupanda operate various smallholder farmer cooperatives in Malawi, Sudan and other regions in sub-Saharan Africa. Kupanda focusses on high-value natural products that serve as active and functional ingredients for the personal care sector. Think Baobab, Moringa, Marula oil and many more.
We immediately appreciated Kupanda’s values and have since built a strong relationship. Most recently we developed cosmetic products using the by-products of oil extraction processes, to help bring value to Kupanda’s waste.
Fat Forest fights deforestation by focussing on ingredients that are wild harvested by inhabitants of the rainforests of Borneo. Rebel-Nature helps Fat Forest with everything product development and manufacturing-related.
Each product sold means income for the local communities and presents an alternative to monoculture farming. Here’s to hoping there are more Fat Forests in this world.
Rebel-Nature’s relationship with Loveli shows our willingness to engage proactively with our partners.
The founder of Loveli, Linda, came to us with an all-natural, aluminium-free deodorant she had developed that really, truly worked. Since then we’ve been bouncing ideas off each other, be it around product development, packaging, or supply chain optimisation. We’ve loved being a part of Loveli’s journey and are excited for what’s to come.
We’ve set up Rebel Ventures, our incubator investment arm, to help small businesses with innovative ideas. Click below to find out more.
